Kolkata, May 29 -- Hakimpur on the India-Bangladesh border in North 24-Parganas district has turned into a zone of heightened security and humanitarian management, with multiple authorities seamlessly handling the influx of suspected Bangladeshi infiltrators lodged at multiple holding centres in Swarupnagar.

The West Bengal government, the Border Security Force (BSF), the district administration and health department are working in tandem to supervise arrangements.

Since Thursday night, Additional Superintendent of Police Partha Ghosh and SDPO Ayush Pandey have repeatedly crossed the Hakimpur checkpost to ensure all the processes were gone through smoothly amidst foolproof security.
