Chennai, May 1 -- Slaming the BJP union Government for hiking the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by nearly Rs 1,000 immediately after the Assembly elections as predicted, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin the Centre should recognise the impact this hike will unleash, reverse it immediately and protect the livelihoods of the people.
Advising the Centre to act with people's pain in mind, he said the benefit of the reduction in global crude prices was not passed on to the people and raising the prices using the West Asia War crisis without regard for public welfare was not acceptable.
