Chennai, Aug. 25 -- The Madras High Court on Tuesday said it would take up for hearing next week, a petition filed by former Chief Minister and DMK President M.K. Stalin challenging the victory of ruling TVK candidate V.S. Babu from the Kolathur constituency in Chennai, from where he lost while eyeing for a fourth successive term to the State Assembly.
When Senior counsel J. Ravindran made a mention seeking to take up the matter on an urgent basis, the First Bench of Chief Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari and Justice G.Arul Murugan said the petition would be listed for hearing on Monday or Tuesday.
