Chennai, June 16 -- In the backdrop rising incidents of crimes against children including nearly four incidents reported yesterday alone, Opposition DMK President and former CM M K Stalin on Tuesday had a dig at Chief Minister Vijay and questioned his alleged silence on the issue.

In a statement, here, he cited Vijay's earlier assertions that he had appointed efficient officers and constituted the "Singappen Special Force" to ensure safety of women and children and to curb crimes against them, and sought to know whether the cries of grieving parents had still failed to reach the government.
