Srinagar, June 16 -- With the annual Amarnath Yatra set to commence on July 3, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anantnag, Amod Nagpure, on Tuesday reviewed the operational preparedness of the Special Operations Group (SOG), the elite counter-insurgency wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, and stressed the need for intelligence-led operations and heightened vigilance in the district.
Nagpure visited the Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC) Anantnag, where he reviewed the operational preparedness of the SOG personnel.
