Bengaluru, June 7 -- Thirteen-year-old Bengaluru tennis prodigy Srishti Kiran continued her impressive rise on the international junior circuit, finishing runner-up at the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors J100 tournament in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
Srishti went down fighting in the final against top seed Ellery Mendell of the United States, 4-6, 3-6, in a contest where she battled physical discomfort and cramps in the latter stages on Saturday.
The Indian teenager made a strong start, racing to a 2-0 lead in the opening set and later holding a 3-1 advantage before Mendell clawed her way back to take the set 6-4.
