Vijayawada, Oct. 2 -- Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Andhra Pradesh, on Friday launched a state-wide cleanliness drive on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti as part of the nationwide "Swachhta Se Divyata Tak" initiative, aimed at promoting cleanliness, selfless service and spiritual transformation.
State President R. Lakshmana Rao launched the drive by participating in a cleanliness programme around the Sri Sathya Sai Mandir at Sitarampuram in Vijayawada, along with State Vice-President Ch. Surendra, state office-bearers, district presidents and Mahila office-bearers.
Volunteers cleaned roads and surrounding areas of the temple, reaffirming the organisation's commitment to maintaining clean surroundings and promoting community service.
