Lucknow, Aug. 10 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has appealed to make the Kanwar Yatra a celebration of social responsibility and service.
" Adopt eco-friendly Kanwars and pledge to live a plastic-free life. If an ambulance or school bus is traveling on the route, give them priority. Our small acts of awareness can be a great help to someone,"" he said.
In a letter to the people of the state on Monday, he wrote," My respected citizens, the government is committed to your convenience and safety, but it is our responsibility to maintain the dignity of this sacred tradition. This spirit of devotion, discipline, restraint, and service is the soul of the Kanwar Yatra and the true message of Lord Shiva's welfare for the people."...
