Kolhapur/Ratnagiri, July 22 -- In a shocking incident, a speeding container plunged into the Jagbudi river from a bridge on the Mumbai-Goa highway in Khed tehsil of Ratnagiri district this evening. Both the driver and cleaner were repirted missing.
According to Khed police, a speeding container which was on way to Mumbai from Goa, plunged into the Jagbudi River.
The accident occurred in the evening. The container broke through the bridge railings and fell about 100 feet into the strong river current flow due to heavy rainfall, near Bharne Naka on the Jagbudi River bridge in Khed, Ratnagiri district.
