Itanagar, May 14 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls will be conducted in Arunachal Pradesh as part of Phase-III of the nationwide revision exercise aimed at ensuring accuracy and transparency in voter lists.
According to a press note issued by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Arunachal Pradesh, the SIR exercise in the State will be conducted along with Andhra Pradesh, Haryana and Chandigarh with the qualifying date fixed as July 1, 2026.
The preparation, training and printing process for the revision exercise will be carried out from June 5 to 14, while Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will undertake house-to-house visits from June 15 to July 14, 2026. ...
