Davanagere, July 13 -- The Special POCSO Court here on Monday granted conditional bail to Panchamasali seer Vachanananda Swamiji, nearly a month after his arrest in a high-profile case involving allegations of sexual assault on a minor under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The court allowed the bail petition after hearing arguments from both sides, while imposing stringent conditions, including execution of a personal bond, mandatory cooperation with the investigation, a bar on influencing witnesses or tampering with evidence, and restrictions on leaving the court's jurisdiction without prior permission.
