Bengaluru, March 16 -- The Karnataka Congress government came under sharp attack on Monday, with Leader of Opposition R Ashoka declaring it "dead" after the Speaker of the Assembly walked out in protest over ministers' repeated failure to answer legislators' questions.

Addressing media outside the Assembly, Ashoka said that of over 230 questions raised during Monday's proceedings, only 50 received answers. "This is not even 30%. Over the past 10 days, the response rate has consistently been below 30%," he said, criticising the lack of accountability.
