Patna, Feb. 27 -- Bihar Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar on Friday directed the state government to review the issue of high tension electric wires passing over rooftops or running adjacent to residential buildings and to take immediate action.

Taking strong note of concerns raised by members, the Speaker said the matter required urgent attention in view of public safety. He assured the House that a review meeting would be convened after the Holi festival.

The issue was raised by MLA Raghvendra Pratap Singh. Members cutting across party lines supported him, terming the situation highly dangerous and demanding removal of such wires from above or near residential buildings.
