Madrid, March 4 -- The United States did not notify its allies before launching military operations against Iran, Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares said on Wednesday.

"No allies have been informed, and no attempts have been made to involve the United Nations," Albares told RTVE radio when asked about Washington's coordination prior to the bombing.

The statement from Spanish Foreign Minister come as US President Donald Trump threatened to halt all trade with Spain after Madrid denied the US permission to use its military bases for the Iran operation.
