Prayagraj, April 13 -- Samajwadi Party MP Afzal Ansari's wife Farhat Ansari and his cousin Mansoor Ansari filed contempt petition in the Allahabad High Court on Monday for not releasing attached properties despite favourable court orders.
The contempt petition was filed making DM Ghazipur a party.
The High Court had ordered the release of Farhat Ansari's and Mansoor Ansari's sealed shops. In both the cases, the High Court order was not complied with, resulting in the filing of these contempt petitions by Farhat and Mansoor.
Meanwhile, in another case, Aligarh SSP Neeraj Kumar Jadon appeared in the High Court and filed a counter affidavit as per the High Court order.
