Lucknow, March 2 -- Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav Monday questioned the Uttar Pradesh government's functioning regarding the increasing administrative pressure on booth-level officers (BLOs) amid the alleged spate of suicides by BLOs in the state.

He claimed that BLOs were facing excessive workload and unnecessary pressure in voters' list work, causing them mental stress.

Akhilesh Yadav , in a statement here, alleged that pressure is being exerted first to remove names through Form-7 and now, to add names through Form-6. In such an environment, many employees were suffering from mental distress, he alleged.
