Thiruvananthapuram, July 11 -- Kerala has spearheaded a major interstate initiative to combat narcotics trafficking by convening a high-level meeting of police chiefs from southern states and senior officials of central enforcement agencies under 'Operation Toofan: The Narco Hunt', India's largest anti-drug campaign.
The meeting, chaired by Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala at the Kerala Police Headquarters here, focused on forging a coordinated strategy to make South India drug-free through enhanced interstate cooperation, intelligence sharing and joint enforcement against drug trafficking and organised cross-border crime.
