Seoul, June 10 -- South Korea is moving to dismantle and restructure its long-standing military counterintelligence body following allegations that it got embroiled in the controversial 2024 martial law attempt linked to former President Yoon Suk-yeol, the Yonhap news agency reported on Wednesday, citing the ministry.
The Defense Counterintelligence Command's core functions will be distributed among new and existing organizations, Yonhap said.
