Agartala, Sept. 22 -- A 27-year-old man allegedly assaulted his father using a sharp instrument at Durgapur village in Gandacherra subdivision in Tripura's Dhalai district. The assault occurred following the father's refusal to provide additional funds for drug purchases, as documented in an official police complaint.
The injured father obtained medical care at Gandacherra Sub-Divisional Hospital before submitting a formal police complaint. The assault on Monday evening resulted in a severe laceration to Kanta Tripura's ear, accompanied by significant bleeding. He was subsequently hospitalized for treatment.
