New Delhi, July 23 -- In a story that transcends the battlefield and speaks to the enduring spirit of humanity, an Indian Army soldier who was declared brain dead after suffering a brain stroke while on duty in the high-altitude terrain of Ladakh has given a new lease of life to six people through organ donation.
Naib Risaldar Virender Singh, who suffered the fatal brain stroke while serving in the challenging conditions of the Ladakh region, left behind what the Indian Army described as a "lasting legacy of humanity" through the selfless decision taken by his family to donate his organs.
