Solan, Sept. 4 -- Tightening the noose around land grabbers, the Solan administration has launched an aggressive anti-encroachment drive across the city and its periphery, bulldozing nearly 50 illegal structures in the past three days.
The enforcement squad also issued around 20 challans to errant encroachers, recovering Rs 20,000 in fines on the spot.
Spearheaded by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Neerja Sharma, the special clearance operation continued in full swing on Thursday.
Heavy machinery and administrative teams reclaimed arterial roads, pedestrian pathways, and public spaces, sending a stern signal that the usurpation of government land will not be tolerated.
