Bhagalpur, May 31 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Sunday announced that the construction of a Bailey bridge on the damaged Vikramshila Ganga Bridge is in its final stage and movement of small vehicles will commence from June 8 onwards.
After conducting an on-site inspection of the damaged bridge here, Choudhary said that efforts were being made on a war footing to restore connectivity between Eastern Bihar and the Seemanchal region, which were affected after a portion of the bridge collapsed last month.
"The Bailey bridge being constructed on the damaged section of the Vikramshila Ganga Bridge is nearing completion. Small vehicles will be allowed to ply on it from June 8," the Chief Minister told news persons.
