Shimla, June 26 -- Six people, including a 12-year-old boy, were killed after a pickup vehicle plunged into a deep gorge on the Taklech-Kashapat road in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla district on Friday, police said.
The accident occurred at around 7.05 pm, when the pickup vehicle (HP-06B-2420), carrying six occupants including the driver, skidded off the road and fell into a gorge.
A police team from Rampur police station rushed to the spot and launched rescue operationsHowever, all six occupants were found dead at the scene, said police official, adding that the bodies were shifted to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Taklech for post-mortem examination.
