Dhule, May 25 -- Six people lost their lives and 26 others were injured in a horrific accident that occurred early Monday morning on the Dhule-Mumbai-Agra Highway in Maharashtra.
The injured are currently undergoing treatment at Bhausaheb Hire Government Medical College in Dhule.
According to reports, the accident involving three vehicles took place at Laling Ghat after a sand-laden dumper truck allegedly travelled in the wrong direction.
Eyewitnesses said that around 3:00 am, traffic congestion had built up at Laling Ghat when the dumper, moving against the flow of traffic, violently collided with a truck carrying liquor. Toll plaza employees and bystanders rushed to rescue the injured.
