Chennai, July 13 -- Six people were killed and 22 others injured when a rivate bus collided with a Tamil Nadu State Express Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus near Kottampatti in Madurai district early on Monday, even as Chief Minister Vijay condoled their deaths and announced a solatium of Rs three lakh each to their families.

The deceased included five men and one woman. Of the injured seven of them sustained critical wounds and 15 others suffered minor injuires and all of them were admitted to the Government Rajaji Medical College Hospital in Madurai for treatment.
