New Delhi, Sept. 13 -- Six people, including women and children, were injured after they jumped from an adjacent building in panic when a fire broke out at a factory in northwest Delhi's Swaroop Nagar today, police said.

Officials said the fire broke out in the ground and first floors of a building in Swaroop Nagar. The premises housed a factory manufacturing judo dresses and boxing gloves, police said.

No one was inside the factory when the fire started, and no injuries were reported due to the blaze itself, they said.

"However, panic spread among people in the building adjacent to the factory, prompting six persons, including women and children, to jump from the building, resulting in injuries," a senior police officer said.
