Bhagalpur, Sept. 21 -- Altogether six children drowned while bathing in floodwaters near Taraita village under Sultan Ganj police station area in Bhagalpur district.
District Magistrate Alankrita Pandey said here today that the victims included three boys and three girls: Minakshi Kumari (13), Vikas Kumar (12), Pooja Kumari (15), Jyoti Kumari (12), Rahul Kumar (12), and Ayush Kumar (12). Jyoti Kumari belonged to Rajandipur village in Sabour block while the others were residents of Vishnu Tola in Dudhela village.
The children were reportedly on their way to the fields to collect plants for the Karma-Dharma festival.
