Thiruvananthapuram, June 27 -- Sivagiri Mutt on Saturday honoured Lee Tarlamis, Chief Whip of the Parliament of Victoria, Australia, during his visit to the Mutt with his wife, Chao Lee Tarlamis.
Tarlamis, who played a key role in organising the Centenary Celebration of the All-Religion Conference in Australia last October, said the State of Victoria is home to Australia's largest Malayali community.
He noted that social and cultural diversity should be regarded not as a challenge but as a source of strength that promotes unity in society.
