Bhoirymbong, June 20 -- union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday inaugurated Northeastern India's largest organic spice processing plant of the Eastern Ri-Bhoi Organic Farmer Producer Company, here in Meghalaya's Ri-Bhoi district.

Sitharaman inaugurated the facility in the presence of Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma and Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang.

Addressing the gathering, the Finance Minister said that the future of agriculture belongs to those who produce not merely more, but better, cleaner, safer, more traceable and more sustainable products.
