Lucknow, April 10 -- The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 process has been successfully completed in Uttar Pradesh. During this extensive exercise, the names of over 20.5 million voters in the state have been deleted from the list.

Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa said that the Election Commission released the final list of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Uttar Pradesh on Friday. The number of voters in Uttar Pradesh has decreased by 13 per cent to 133.9 million as 20.5 million names have been deleted from the final list.

However, 8.4 million new names have been added during the process.
