Srinagar, Aug. 2 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday called upon the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to stay away from drugs, inspire their peers and emerge as healthy, disciplined and responsible citizens, saying they can dispel the darkness of drug abuse with the light of knowledge, progress and positive energy.

The Lieutenant Governor was addressing a function at the launch of the "Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan" at a UT-Level organised by Department of Youth Affairs and Sports and SKUAST-Kashmir.

The 100-week mega campaign was virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking a nationwide resolve to secure India's future by empowering its youth and eliminating the menace of drugs.
