Hyderabad, March 4 -- Telangana Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Wednesday said the safety of the Singur Dam is the state government's top priority, as the reservoir is the lifeline for Hyderabad's drinking water supply.

The minister held a high-level review meeting with Irrigation Department engineers at the Dr BR Ambedkar Secretariat along with Associate Ministers Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, D Anasuya (Seethakka) and Vivek Venkataswamy to assess the dam's safety and the progress of ongoing works.
