Singapore, March 20 -- Singapore authorities said on Friday that Amos Yee Pang Sang was arrested at Changi Airport upon his return to the country and charged under the Enlistment Act for failing to report for pre-enlistment medical screening and remaining outside Singapore without a valid Exit Permit.

The Central Manpower Base (CMPB) Enlistment Inspectors detained Yee, a Singapore citizen, who left the country for the United States in 2016 and was granted asylum there in 2017.

During his time in the United States, Yee was arrested for sexual offences and sentenced to six years in prison in December 2021.

He was released on parole in October 2023 but was re-arrested a month later for violating parole conditions. US authorities subsequentl...
