Kolht, June 22 -- : Two women were killed on the spot while three other persons were seriously injured when a Thar SUV hit a tree. The incident occurred in Nemle village in the Erandwakwadi area in Sawantwadi tehsil of Sindhudurg district, on the Mumbai-Goa national highway this afternoon.
According to police, five persons, including three women, were on their way to Bhirvande Kankavali from Saligain in Goa. Near Erandwakwadi, the SUV hit a roadside tree after the driver lost control.
