Simdega (Jharkhand), June 10 -- Two hockey players from Jharkhand's Simdega district, Pushpa Manjhi and Sandeepa Kumari, who were part of the Indian team that won the bronze medal at the Women's Under-18 Asia Cup Hockey Championship in Japan, were felicitated by district authorities on Wednesday.

The tournament was held in Japan from May 29 to June 6, where India secured the bronze medal. District officials said both players made significant contributions to the team's campaign.

Deputy Commissioner Kanchan Singh honoured the players and their coach, Tarini Kumari, at her office and congratulated them on their achievement.
