Siliguri, July 20 -- Sikkim Chief Minister and Finance Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Monday presented the state's Rs 19,215-crore Budget for 2026-27 in the Legislative Assembly.
The Budget will be taken up for discussion on Tuesday.
Presenting the Budget, Tamang said the government would continue to prioritise fiscal discipline, sustainable development, inclusive economic growth and public welfare.
After adjusting recoveries of Rs 760 crore, the state's net expenditure has been pegged at Rs 18,455 crore.
He said the Budget provides a roadmap for strengthening the state's economy, ensuring the benefits of development reach all sections of society and advancing Sikkim towards becoming a prosperous and self-reliant state.
