Gangtok, Sept. 2 -- Two houses have been evacuated as a precautionary measure following a landslide that disrupted road connectivity at Singlitam and Rimbi in Sikkim's Gyalshing district.
District Collector-cum-District Magistrate, Gyalshing, Tenzing D. Denzongpa, on Wednesday conducted an on-site inspection of the affected areas to assess the ground situation and review ongoing relief, safety and restoration measures.
During the inspection, the District Magistrate directed officials to take immediate steps to ensure the safety of vulnerable households and provide necessary relief to affected families.
