Gangtok, Sept. 24 -- Cracks have appeared on the floors and walls of around 10 residential houses located below the Power Grid premises at Upper Samdong in Sikkim's Gangtok district, triggering concern among residents and prompting the district administration to order a detailed technical assessment.
A joint inspection was conducted at Upper Samdong on September 23 under the leadership of Sisum Wangchuk Bhutia, ADC, Gangtok, following complaints of damage to residential properties in the vicinity of the Power Grid premises.
The inspection team observed that the drainage arrangements associated with the Power Grid premises require a detailed technical assessment and necessary improvement.
