Siliguri, June 23 -- Addressing a programme at the historic Old Malda Gurdwara on Tuesday to mark the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur, West Bengal Governor R.N. Ravi emphasised that the sacrifices of the Sikh Gurus remain an enduring part of the nation's heritage and should be preserved for future generations.

"The sacrifices and martyrdom of the Sikh Gurus can never be forgotten. It is our collective duty to preserve these memories and pass them on to future generations," Ravi said.

The Governor had arrived in Malda to participate in the commemoration organised by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, through its Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC), as part of nationwide observances being held at 60 locations ac...
