Mysuru, July 27 -- Senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah's decision to bow out of electoral politics is "final" and will not be revisited, his son and Karnataka MLC Yathindra Siddaramaiah said on Monday, putting to rest speculation over the veteran leader's political future.

"My father has said it once, and that is the end of it. He will not change his decision again," Yathindra told reporters here, asserting that neither the family nor the Congress would try to persuade the 80-year-old leader to reconsider.

Emphasising that Siddaramaiah's health now takes precedence over politics, Yathindra said, "My father is 80 years old. At this stage, he deserves rest and should take care of his health. As a son, I will never ask him to contest another...
