Bengaluru, Aug. 21 -- Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's renewed push around the caste census is fast acquiring a political dimension, with his proposed appearance at a major Backward Classes convention here on September 6 being closely watched as a possible signal of his intent to remain an influential force in Karnataka Congress politics.
Siddaramaiah is expected to attend the convention organised by the Backward Classes Federation, led by his long-time associate KM Ramachandrappa, to mark 25 years of the organisation. The event will be held at Palace Grounds.
