Bengaluru, April 2 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday said there is a direct link between law and order and the state's GDP growth, stressing that maintaining internal security is crucial for economic progress.
Speaking after presenting the "Chief Minister's Medal" at the Police Flag Day celebrations held at the Koramangala Parade Ground, he noted that the state has recorded higher crime rates than the national average in several categories, including cybercrime, and called for strict measures to curb such offences.
