Amravati, April 25 -- Social activist Shyam Manav has criticised former Chief Justice Bhushan Gavai over his reported visit to Bageshwar Dham and meeting with Dhirendra Krishna Shastri.
Manav alleged that Gavai, who rose to a high constitutional position influenced by the ideology of B.R. Ambedkar, has undermined Ambedkar's legacy by visiting the religious centre and showing reverence to Shastri.
He further claimed that Shastri promotes superstition under the guise of religion and accused him of misleading people through claims of miracles.
Manav also said rationalist groups have repeatedly challenged such practices.
