Mumbai, May 31 -- Residents of Mumbai woke up to a rainy Sunday morning as light to moderate showers swept across several parts of the city and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), providing much-needed relief from the prevailing heat and humidity.
Rainfall was reported from several suburbs, including Vile Parle, Wadala, Chembur, Kurla and Marol, during the early hours. Similar conditions were also witnessed in parts of Navi Mumbai, with areas such as Taloja and Seawoods receiving morning showers.
According to the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), the rainfall brought a noticeable dip in temperatures, with the city recording an early morning temperature of 29degC.
