Mysuru, Aug. 1 -- In a notable appeal made from a stage shared with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Saturday called for a stronger Centre-State partnership, urging the union government to "help Karnataka and save Karnataka" while arguing that India's global aspirations rested significantly on the state's continued growth.
Addressing a gathering after the inauguration of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre (Viveka Smaraka), Shivakumar said Karnataka had emerged as one of the country's foremost engines of economic growth and innovation, with Bengaluru serving as India's global face in technology, entrepreneurship and investment.
