Bengaluru, Aug. 8 -- Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Saturday strongly hit back at union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju over his criticism of the state Cabinet having no woman minister, turning the issue of gender representation into a fresh political confrontation between the Congress government and the BJP-led Centre.
Rijiju had questioned the absence of women from the Karnataka ministry following the recent Cabinet expansion, in which 19 ministers were inducted but no woman found a place.
