Mumbai, May 17 -- Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the Centre over rising inflation, alleging that ordinary citizens across the country were bearing the brunt of the increasing prices of essential commodities.

In a post shared on social media platform X through its official handle, Shiv Sena UBT alleged that the government was disconnected from the difficulties being faced by common citizens and accused the Centre of failing to take timely corrective measures to control rising prices.

The party's remarks also echoed the broader Opposition attack directed at the Modi government over fuel prices, inflation and economic management.
