Tumkur, March 14 -- Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Saturday said the shortage of commercial LPG cylinders is being felt across the country and assured that supplies are expected to stabilise soon as shipments are on the way.

Speaking to reporters here, he said the union government had assured the state that additional LPG supplies would reach India shortly.

"The shortage of commercial cylinders is throughout the country. The Prime Minister and the central government have assured us that they will supply. Already, two or three ships have started from Iran. I think one ship has already reached and the other two ships are on the way," he said.
