Shimla, June 25 -- The Himachal Pradesh Shimla district administration on Thursday reviewed monsoon preparedness and disaster management measures, directing all Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) to conduct regular monitoring and ensure coordinated efforts to safeguard lives, property and critical infrastructure during the rainy season.
Chairing a district-level review meeting, Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap said the administration was fully prepared to deal with heavy rainfall, floods, landslides and other natural calamities.
He directed all SDMs to hold review meetings next week and assess preparedness for the upcoming apple season in coordination with field staff.
