Hyderabad, Feb. 21 -- union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani on Saturday said Self-Help Group (SHG) women have proved themselves to be among the most disciplined and reliable borrowers, with non-performing assets far lower than MSME, agricultural and even corporate loans.

Speaking at the 25th Meeting of the National Coordination Committee of the Rural Development Department held at a private hotel here, Chandra Sekhar said the success of the Lakhpati Didi initiative would not have been possible without the strong support of the banking ecosystem and the sustained efforts of the Rural Development Department.
